Hi there! Welcome back! So, Luigi and I watched The Super Mario Bros. Movie on April 19, and it was great. Sorry, Marvel, but this might just be the greatest movie of all time.

The story started off with Bowser conquering the penguins’ kingdom. This must be a reference to the penguins in New Super Mario Bros. U. Next, Bowser obtains the power star, saying, “Ahahahahaha! I finally found it! Now no one can STOP ME!”

After that, they showed the Super Mario Bros. Plumbing commercial, featuring the theme song of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. By the way, a review of the Super Show should come in the future. It turns out, that was shown on a TV at a restaurant (probably Punch-Out!! Pizzeria).
I didn’t realise at first, but they also showed a cameo of Charles Martinet, my voice actor in Nintendo games, saying, “Too much? It’s-a-perfect! Wahoo!” He actually looks like me in that scene!
In one scene, Luigi and I found a strange pipe. Luigi decided to enter the pipe. He was sent to a forest (probably a reference to Luigi’s Mansion)! I entered too, but was sent to the Mushroom Kingdom.

In a later scene, Princess Peach asked me to complete a training course. She said that if I complete it, I can join the fight against Bowser. After a bunch of failed attempts, I FINALLY completed it.
Next, Princess Peach announced that the Mushroom Kingdom will get help from the Kong Army to defeat Bowser. But, they said that I need to fight Donkey Kong first to get their hand.

I entered a huge arena with fans (like Diddy Kong) watching. Then, when Donkey Kong entered, the DK Rap from Donkey Kong 64 played! But, no one in my cinema was singing along, probably because few people were there. I actually forgot it was the DK Rap. I might have been singing along, though. Anyway, Donkey Kong beat me up BADLY at first, but I won in the end.

The next scene, we got karts and drove on Rainbow Road. But, pretty quickly, the Koopa army attacked. Then, Donkey Kong and I fell into water, and we got attacked by an eel! We returned though, I can’t remember how.
A later scene featured Bowser in Brooklyn. Luigi and I actually obtained the power star, and we gave Bowser a Mini Mushroom! So that’s basically it… or is it?
As you may expect, the credits rolled after this. My parents already wanted to leave the cinema. But I wanted to stay. And, after the first credits, there was a post-credits scene featuring Bowser’s song, Peaches! It was actually shown earlier in the movie, I can’t remember when.
But, the chord progression and the key are actually the same as Rick Astley’s 1987 hit, Never Gonna Give You Up! This generated a lot of mashup videos, creating an instant meme. In case you didn’t know, it is actually a troll named rickrolling for an unexpected appearance of Never Gonna Give You Up to show.
My parents still wanted to leave the cinema. But, we stayed, and there was a post-credits scene with Yoshi!
Lastly, we have to rate the movie. Luigi and I gave it a 10/10. My friends like Bowser, Wario, and Peach all agree. We’re just dishonored to be in a movie without consent. My mom also gave it a 10/10. My dad gave it a 9.7/10. I think I liked most parts.
That’s it, guys! Bye! Oh, and please let me know what you’d like to see next.
