So, I’m renaming the blog to “Mario’s Blog” because it’s not really centred around anything. So I’ve decided to review the three malls in Santa Rosa, Laguna, where my parents, Luigi, & I live.
Ayala Malls Solenad
This mall is part of Ayala’s Nuvali estate. Since it was made by Ayala, you would expect it to be a great mall. But no. This is a good mall, and I like most of it, but it could be so much better. It’s actually quite massive, apparently. Solenad 1 should be nice, but my mom says there’s nothing to do there. The artificial Nuvali Lake where you can feed the fish was fun the last time I was there. But my mom says most restaurants have closed down, and there aren’t that many shops. Solenad 2 is fine, but there are too many outdoor areas. Solenad 3 might even be worse than Solenad 2, despite being an indoor building with a cinema, because the upper floors are not so decorated. Overall, I would give Ayala Malls Solenad a ⅗.
Vista Mall Sta. Rosa
This one is near Solenad & Paseo, along Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road, and I think it’s the best mall in our area. It’s made by Vista Land, who also owns the subdivision Valenza Crown Asia (near Solenad). It’s more indoor than outdoor, but the gardens are actually good. Eating is fun, with top-notch restaurants and cafés like Buffalo Wild Wings and Coffee Project. Going to the AllDay Supermarket isn’t so fun, but the dining and scenery make up for that. Overall, Vista Mall Sta. Rosa gets a ⅘.
Paseo Outlets (aka Paseo de Sta. Rosa)
This one, while being the worst of the three, is actually special since it’s made by Greenfield itself, making it part of Greenfield City. It’s too outdoorsy, and the indoor parts are kinda mediocre. It has several outlet stores, such as Nike. It even has the Ateneo Graduate School. But the scenery is a big let-down. Paseo gets ⅖, but there’s one café that I really love there, The Roost! Nah, just kidding. I mean Café Breton. They have nice bacon and crepes.
