Mario Kart Tour Review

Hey guys, after 23 years, I'm back!

Mario Kart Tour is one of my favorite games ever. Here are my final thoughts.

I don’t have the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe nor do I have the Switch itself as of the time I’m making this article. This is the next best thing.

First off, the game features rubies which you can use to unlock things using the pipe. This is like how Super Smash Bros Melee & Brawl let you collect coins to unlock stuff or play the Brawl minigame.

Next, it also features points that you can get by doing pretty much anything. Collecting a coin, getting a Rocket Start, and hitting your opponent. These will be the points you’ll start with during a race. You’ll want to get all 5 stars by performing well. These will give you Grand Stars.

Lastly, drivers on one of their favored courses will get 2 items at once, while drivers on one of their favorite courses will get 3 items at once! Getting items now automatically gets rid of your previous items. And if you get 3 of the same item, you get a Frenzy! This gives you an infinite amount of the item for a short amount of time!

Oh, and I almost forgot, there’s a Gold Pass and you can spend money to buy rubies, buy they’re way too expensive. I also forgot about the tours. As of the time I’m making this blog, we’re playing on the Sydney Tour, with a special track called Sydney Spirit. Try to get as far as you can in the tour before a new one comes! Every 2 weeks, a new tour will come.

So, is Mario Kart Tour worth it? Yes.
